The Glossy Box Experience

On the first of every month I am going to do a product review. Recently I signed up for "Glossy Box" and already love it. Never heard of it? No worries. Basically, once you sign up it's $20 a month and samples show up at your door. Like a present to yourself! Go here to find out more http://www.glossybox.com/

I always get questions about my hair so I thought how perfect to do a hair product review! In my first box I got five products, one of which is the "Rich" shampoo! I will tell you having worked in salons and using lots of different ones, I have never been so blown away by a shampoo! I will absolutely be making this my go to. It's consistency is so thick which usually that means that it doesn't lather much, not true with "Rich" shampoo, it worked great and when I ran a comb through my wet hair it felt more conditioned than I could believe! I can't wait to buy the conditioner. https://us.richhaircare.com/

Next up, (not from the box) is one of my favorite products is "It's a 10". I use this when I am drying my hair. I dry it until it is damp and then I put a little bit of this on and then dry the rest. I have used many of their different products and love them all. They also have a great Hair Mask and Conditioning Spray. http://itsa10haircare.com/

You always need a finishing touch right? Well this is mine. Rusk Thermal Spray is perfect to protect you hair when styling it. I spray it right before curling or flat ironing and it adds so much shine. http://www.amazon.com/Rusk-Thermal-Shine-Spray-Argan/dp/B00570AHI8

Chic Culottes

These are an absolute spring must have! Last year the Palazzo Pant was all the rage, it's still a popular trend this year. However, this is the new go to look. It's such a refreshing and different look. From J. Crew's spring runway to Victoria Beckham's fabulous little body you're going to be seeing this look, well, everywhere you look. Also it's prefect for chilly days before the weather totally warms up. And yes am I so excited for the spring time hat!! One of my very favorite accessories!

Way Back Whimsy

As I write this I am watching How To Marry a Millionaire (Marilyn! Swoon!) and I am reminded of my deep love for the 50's and 60's era. Watching these fabulous actresses sit atop their rooftop patio drinking champagne in their circle skirts makes me truly wish I was alive back then. So all of this got me to thinking as to how much time as changed in so many ways. One of those things is manners. Isn't it amazing how little thinking of others has become acceptable? I think we all need a little work on our day to day manners. I am always looking for ways to better myself as a person both inside and out. In the Kate Spade book so appropriately titled "Manners" I came across 10 Gentle Reminders that I thought was a nice refresher.

1. Making others feel at ease is the essence of etiquette, yesterday and today.

2. There are few words more elementary or more welcomed than please and thank you.

3. Good moods are contagious. Hopefully, yours will be pleasantly catching.

4. Be aware and considerate of personal space- physical, visual, and aural.

5. Showing respect is a gift, one that costs nothing and is endlessly appreciated.

6. Think of your tone of voice as a telegraph. To the listener, it speaks volumes.

7. A short fuse does nothing but burn. Should you find yourself with one, steer clear of others.

8. Never underestimate the message that's sent by your poise and posture.

9. Clothes count. Appropriate attire is not only respectful, its refreshing.

10. Let common sense be your guide and graciousness be your goal.

Now run along and enjoy your Friday, smile, and open the door for someone.
