Everyone loves a good solid denim look especially on Casual Friday (at least for me). But sometimes there is more to it than just throwing together a cool jean outfit. Here are a few things every woman should know about their denim.
- Try not to machine wash. If you must, turn the dryer on the lowest setting and make sure you take them out before they are totally dry.
- When you do wash use cold water and turn them inside out.
- Buy jeans a little tighter than you prefer. Why? Because they actually will stretch out.
- Wash them twice before taking them to a tailor for hemming or tweaking.
Now, how about the perfect way to fold those suckers? I've worked in retail for many years and have picked up many helpful tips along the way. Here is the way Guess folds their denim step by step:
First lay on a flat surface, fold them long ways from left to right, then fold the bottom to the end of the pocket. Next bring the knee to the waist. Flip it over and you've got perfectly folded jeans! Simple as that!
Here are my jeans! Do they always stay this way? Heck no. But I do try to keep them folded nicely.
