Chic and Slim

Okay so maybe the past weekend we indulged a little and aren't feeling super skinny come Wednesday. No worries. I'm here to help with the slimming effect. Here are three quick and different ways to look and feel a tad thinner.

Adding a belt to the smallest part of your waist will always make you look thinner and not to mention put together.

Wear the same color from head to toe. A monochromatic look will elongate you, plus it's a super chic look right now. Also when you have a flair on your pants it adds balance with your hips and makes you look leaner and longer.

Lastly, vertical stripes will always bring the eye down. If you're feeling bold try this look from top to bottom.

We've made it half way through the week! Let's power on!

Faux It

Okay Ladies! it's that time of the year. Time to be tan. I've had numerous people ask me lately about my tan and decided that even though I have blogged about it before I am going to share my favorite product and my to go tips that go along with it. Now, to each is own but for myself being blonde, I feel better tan.

Obviously I don't want to actually tan so I found the next best thing. Fake Bake is my absolute favorite product when it comes to a faux tan. Self tanning has come a long way that's for sure. I've used this product for going on ten years. It's easy to use and fast! You see results right away which is exactly what I need.

Here is my tan 101:

1. Exfoliate really well.

2. Apply lotion to any dry area (elbows, knuckles, etc.)

3. Apply your choice of self tan with gloves

4. Moisturize twice a day to keep you tan longer

5. Reapply where you see fit.

Now let's say a disaster has happened and you hate your tan. Fear not. Just make a mixture of Baking Soda, lemon juice, and sugar. It will come right off. What this does is even out the Ph level of your skin. Same goes for if you happen to get it on your hands. Just mix some baking soda with liquid soap and it should go away.

Raid His Closet

The past couple weeks have been INSANE! I haven't been able to tell which way is up or down. Between some very hectic weekends and having been out of town a lot lately it's been pretty hard to keep up with life at the moment. Alright, done complaining.

Sometimes I feel a little blah when picking out outfits. Especially since the very major closet reno hasn't started yet. So every once in a while I venture into MK's closet to see what I can incorporate into an outfit. It could be a cozy tee with jeans and heels or more of a dressed up take. Either way menswear can be super fun.

My look is pretty feminine so I added that in too, hence my red bows. I went with suspenders but you can add a tie or even both depending on what you're going for. As far as hats go I obviously love them. Like I said before "hat" was my first word. I feel that in this moment it's important to say that, even though he probably has 25 fedoras, I wore them before MK did. Having said that, he looks better in them than I do. Ha! Also stripes forever!

So what are you waiting for? Go raid his closet!

Also have a fabulous Monday!
