Seeing Stripes

I used to not love stripes and then all of a sudden it's all I want to buy and wear. Completely obsessed. On my most recent shopping trip I came home with three stripped items.

The trends for today:

STRIPES!
Pink, pink and more pink!

This look has a Kate Spade feel to it. I absolutely love a good midi skirt and this one is so very versatile that it basically can go with anything.

You can thank the 1/2 color of the year Rose Quartz for this. From hot to rose pink you can't go wrong with any shade this season. Check out my post "Pink Is Always In Season" for a quick color pairing quide.

Fast Tip: To some stripes are intimidating, if you aren't sure about this trend but want to be apart of it try a stripped top with jeans and bright color pumps.  Perfect for everyday.

Have an amazing Tuesday Pretties!

Springtime Trends

You asked for it so here it is!

I had a couple requests for the top Spring trends. So everyday this week I'm sharing two major trends for the upcoming season.

Today's first two:

Wider trousers with print
High waisted  pants

This might be my favorite trend this season, so I've combined the two. The great part about this is that even if you are curvy, you still have the chance to show off your natural waist for a slimming look. This is also a great way to wear a crop top without showing too much skin.

Fast Tip: A monochrome outfit will instantly add a sliming and legnthening efffect. It creates one long line.

Have a fantastic week!

Coffee Buzz

As you may have read in my February Favorites I got the Ninja Coffee Bar and it's basically amazing. What's better than staying in bed as long as possible on a Sunday morning? I agree, nothing. Ha! I thought for this Slow Down Sunday I would share a delicious coffee recipe that I'd never have time for through the week. During the week I'm lucky if I can dash over to the coffee pot for a second cup (good thing I cut out milk and sugar during the week).

I'm a Starbucks girl through and through, red cup controversy or not. When I treat myself my favorite things to order is the Caramel Macchiato (with an extra shot). On this fine Sunday I figured out how to make one with my Ninja! If you have one here's the recipe, if not, I've also made one for without.

Ninja:
3 tablespoons ground coffee
1/2 1% Milk
2 tablespoons Caramel

Put the coffee in the basket, get your favorite mug, select cup size, hit specialty brew button,  while coffee is brewing place the milk and caramel sauce into the Ninja Easy Frother. Then, Microwave on high for 1 minute. Take out of microwave, secure lid and pump 15 times. When complete, gently pour frothed mixture into coffee and drizzle with delicious caramel sauce. Because it's Sunday and calories don't count today.

Normal way:
6oz stong coffee
6oz milk
1-2 teaspoon sugar (or more for taste)
1/2 vanilla

Make some strong coffee, add vanilla to the coffee grounds before brewing to infuse with flavor. Put the milk in the microwave, add the caramel to the milk and stir well, add coffee to your mug and slowly pour the milk mixture. Add some sugar if you like it sweet.

Now take the coffee in bed and stay there as long as possible because tomorrow is Monday.
