Fast Fashion

Before You Go…

Hello Friends and Happy Monday!

So it’s been a minute for me here on Fast Fash. We’ve had one busy September! Contemporary Photography has just been slammed, we took a little trip, and have been non-stop. So when you’re speaking of a very fast life and always feeling like you’re running around like me, today I decided to share with you three fast things I do every single time I leave the house that just make you either more polished or just feel more put together.

  1. IRON!

I know it’s a task we hate but always, always make sure you aren’t wrinkled when you leave the house. Nothing looks more frumpy. To go further on that it’s never a bad idea to pull three shirts you could possibly wear in the future and take 15 and have them ironed when you want to wear them next.

  2. Do a 360 degrees spin.

This is so important because we don’t have eyes in the back of our heads as much as I wish I did sometimes. However, you need to know what the back of your everything looks like. Hair, pants, everything.

  3. Your handbag.

I’m very guilty of letting things pile up in my handbag. Receipts, Starbucks straws ( yes I drink my hot coffee through a straw), toddler toys, toddler snacks, you name it. So every time I leave I take a couple seconds, set it on the island, and clean it out very quickly. It just makes me feel better and when I go to pay for something I don’t have to push all of the garbage out of the way.

Now listen. Go slay this Monday! It’s the last one in September so lets make it count and if nothing else lets just get through it, right?

Have a fabulous day!

Fall Fashion 2021

Happy last day of August!

Tomorrow I’m whipping out the pumpkins!

Well it’s that time of year again when I share my favorite Fall Fashion trends. Before I get into it, I’m going to say what I always do and that is if you don’t like a trend then don’t bend to it. You always have to stay true to you. That’s very important. Having said that now it’s time to get into some of my favorites for the year.

  1. Capes ..again..and always.

Always, always my favorite look and I think this has been on my Fall Fashion list about five times. But I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, I’ll always rock a cape.

2. So cropped

This is a returning trend also and I’m still loving it. Dress it up or down like I did and it can really switch up a look. I have a couple but this sweatshirt material is perfect for running errands.

3. Bright Colors for Fall

Also known as a little color therapy. Especially with the world often feeling a little heavy, rocking a bright color this fall and winter is an instant mood booster! Of course I chose green!

4. Long gloves

Another favorite of mine and also hits my list a lot. Don’t snooze on this very fabulous fall trend. I like rocking it with a cape so I can really show off the glove. In all honestly I’ve always loved a long glove and wear it every chance I get when temperatures drop.

5. Black sheer things

I love this fun sexy look for a date night out. Rock a cute bralette under for the perfect finishing touch. This is a great way to layer too. Add a blazer for even more dimension.

6. The chunky neck

This type of chunky I’m ok with. Big bows and big scarves! Tie one around your neck and add a shiny pin to top it off (zoom in to check out my bee pin that MK got me). Moral of this story is to add some zest to your neck situation this season.

Thank you so much for stopping by, I really appreciate it!

Have a fabulously chic day!

*special thanks to my sweet and often very patient Husband MK for always helping me shoot my looks.

Wear Your Spring

Happy Tuesday Friends!

Not matter what the season, I’m always happy to welcome a new one. I think Spring always feels like the shortest season because even when it’s still technically Spring the weather starts to feel like pretty quickly like Summer. So what does that means for our Spring wardrobes? For me, it means a lot of pieces don’t get to be worn.

While I was just spring cleaning my closet and going through a lot of things, I decided to not allow my favorite Spring pieces to not get loved. In order to not forget about those outfits, I put some together! I put together four outfits that I plan to wear before it gets too warm for them. Here are just a few pieces I pulled to make sure they got worn. The first was a cape with a feather collar that I’ve had for a long time and never got to wear.

Next up was may Spring coat that my Mom and I made. I’ve talked about this one before but you better believe I’ll wear it as many times as I can before it gets too warm out. It’s great to dress up or down. Perfect to elevate jeans and a white tee.

Then, there was one of my long very lightweight coats that I love but again sometimes I forget I have or the weather isn’t right. The day I wore my green coat it was the perfect amount of chilly out.

p.s. I ironed it. Really couldn’t tell you why it looks not ironed. Life is hard.

Lastly, I have this fabulously soft sweater set that I wore for Easter. You can’t get away with this one if its too toasty out. But believe me, it’s so soft I could have slept in it. Which is exactly what I wanted to do after the Easter food.

Also family pictures are also very hard with a one and three year old.

Pass the wine.
