Carefully Stepping Into 2021…

It’s finally here. Hello 2021. I say that with in a very cautious way. It’s got to be better than 2020, right?….RIGHT?

Anyway, I hope you all had a great holiday season! As always, I’m starting my blogging year by giving an overview of what I plan on doing.

For a long time Fast Fashionista has been broken into three categories. The first part being fashion, home, and lifestyle. This year I’ve decided to really immerse myself in the French Culture that I love so much. I’ve been doing a ton of research on the topic so look for a very french infused vibe at the beginning of the week…

”Perfectly Plated” is usually reserved for Wednesdays. Here, I like to simplify things that look hard, provide easy but also fancy recipes. I always want to get better at cooking and baking and love to challenge myself to never stop learning. That’s one of my favorite things abut this part of my blog. I’m always pushing myself out of my comfort zone.

Fridays are for my Martini Moment. When I started my blog years ago, on Fridays, when I would get home from my job at the time I would make a martini and sit at my little bistro set and just relax. That was originally where this name came from. Over the years its turned into a fun drink recipe. I had a lot of the jobs in my life and a bartender was one of them. I always loved making drinks so that’s what I bring you on Fridays.

All of these posts are coming to you fast. No one has the time to read 300 paragraphs before the recipe or the point of the post.

While I have you here…

Since it’s January first, I thought I’d share my resolutions. While some of you hate them and some make them every year, I’m the one who makes them every year because I love a fresh start full of new possibilities. And I’m always aiming for a better me. So here they are:

  1. “Get Dressed” every single day. As a stay at home Mom during the pandemic it is far too easy to stay in sweats all day. For some that might be fine but it only makes me feel frumpy and gross. I’m far more productive (and easier to look at) when I’m put together.

  2. Aim for more stress free moments. That can be quite hard with a one year old, three year old, two dogs, and a Husband to take care of. But sometimes we make our own stress and I’m trying to be a tad more zen.

I hope this year brings you nothing but happiness!

A Good Scheme

Hello Friends! It’s been a minute!

I’ve had a lot going on lately. Between mothering, recovering from a foot surgery, a trip to Maine, and Contemporary being totally slammed I haven’t had time for much at all.

I don’t know about you but I always love a new month. With a new month especially November it gets more chilly and that means add the layers! Years ago I did a lot of posts on putting outfits together based on a color scheme. I always find when you really don’t know what to put on or “have nothing to wear”, referencing a color palette always brings fresh inspiration. For this look I went with “Pantone’s Classics” for Fall and Winter 2020/2021. I love these colors together and this is probably an outfit I may have not put together.

Also, when it comes to many of my photography clients I’m always discussing a color palette especially for things like family photos when there are more than just a couple people involved.

fast tip:

It helps if you have your closet organized by color that way when looking at the chosen palette you know exactly where to look for the color garment you need.

I hope this new month brings you style, delicious bites, even better drinks, and most importantly…happiness.

Headed Into Fall

Happy Fall Everyone!!

It’s finally here!! We can officially celebrate Fall even though many of us have been since September 1st. Not sorry. Anyway, in honor of the first day of Fall, I’m sharing my current staples for this fabulous season. These are staples sure to have your back while at the pumpkin patch, apple picking, or at a festive evening soirée.

  1. A good scarf

It’s not secret this is one of my favorite accessories of all time but it can get so chilly in the Fall and especially in the evening. So when you maybe don’t want to cover your entire outfit throw that scarf around your neck or shoulders and not have to sacrifice style.

2. A Power blazer

Not only is this a layering piece that could potentially keep you warm when need be, it is also a no fail chic statement. This perfect for me blazer was found at Amazon The Drop by SabTheFrenchWay.

3. Dressy Pants

Or should I say, Dressy Pants That Aren’t Just Skinny…

These to-die-for satin pants are another incredible find from Amazon The Drop by SignedBlake (go follow her on Insta, she’s amazing). What’s my point? Amazon The Drop has yet to disappoint. And fashion is definitely leaning towards other types of pant and silhouettes. The tie detail at the bottom of these? Perfection.

Enjoy the first day of Fall!

Maybe making a run for a PSL is in my future…
