A Little Crabby

Happy Wednesday! time to get a little fancy and the good kind of crabby.

I love a midweek fancy meal. But I will say I don’t always want the calories and carbs that come with it. One of my favorite meals of all time are Crab Cakes. Since I do a pretty low carb life at the moment this recipe is perfect for just that.

I used a circle mold to form the patties. This is one of my favorite kitchen tools. You can make fancy salads, a sushi tower, or just use it when you need a perfect circle.

Make sure you’re setting aside the time to enjoy your lunch and take a minute for yourself. I hope you enjoyed this recipe!

Indulge.

Salut Friends!

In my first post of the year, I said my Monday or Tuesday posts will be “French Infused”, what I mean is I’m going to immerse myself in the french culture however putting my own spin on it. Because after all, I’m not French and I don’t want to change myself only better myself.

So this is my take on a french lifestyle while still being me.

In all my research I’ve done and the culture I’ve experienced, one thing the French do is find the time to indulge. This is one thing I struggle with. During my days I rarely sit to stop moving. Much to do in a day, you know. But if I have one tip for you, its to take a moment to indulge in something you love and take that minute to yourself. I’ve started doing this and let me tell you I’m a better person, wife, and “Mama” for it.

My two favorite ways in indulge?

If I only have 30 minutes to myself: a glass of wine in my dressing room.

If I have more time: A hot bubble bath.

My friends, take this massive french tip into 2021 and indulge a little.

New York in Paris

We’ve made it to Friday Friends!

By now you may know I’m really into a theme. Minus my kids bedrooms. When they tell me they want “Cars” or “The Little Mermaid” sheets or something like that then we do it… until then not so much. Haha! I digress. So keeping with all my french things this week’s Martini Moment I’m bringing you an elegant and very easy cocktail.

Fun fact: this drink was created in 1915 at a New York Bar in Paris. It was said it had such a kick that it felt like being shelled with the powerful French 75mm field gun.

This is a great drink for those who love champagne but would like a little twist with their fizz. This is a fantastic, staple cocktail to whip out when you’re feelin’ a little fancy.

And since I’m really missing international travel in my soul here is a photo of me strolling around Paris, trying my best to soak it all in. This is absolutely a trip we will do again in the future.

Enjoy your weekend! Whatever Friday means for you, be it just another day or the start of the weekend, I hope it brings you some fancy fun and a good cocktail!
