Staying Toasty

HAPPY DECEMBER FRIENDS!!

I thought it would be the perfect time to share my favorite no-fail coats that get me through the colder season. Especially since it snowed in my neck of the woods! Perfect way to start December!

1. The Teddy Coat

Talk about cozy. This one is sooo soft and the perfect color. It goes with everything without sacrificing style and comfort. I always say to add a Teddy Coat to your collection whether it’s short of long, it’s always a good one to pull out.

2. Faux Fur

This is my all time favorite coat! I’m obsessed and honestly this is the one I wear the most. I have a long black one, burgundy, and bubble gum pink. These coats are my favorite part of cold weather!

3. The Moto Jacket

Obviously mine is green. But this is what I grab when I’m very casual and running errands. Perfect with flats, sneakers, or boots for when you’re needing to move fast and get past the dreaded slow walkers. Seriously, pick up the pace people Mama needs to grocery shop.

Enjoy the snowy day everyone!

Stay warm!

A Good Scheme

Hello Friends! It’s been a minute!

I’ve had a lot going on lately. Between mothering, recovering from a foot surgery, a trip to Maine, and Contemporary being totally slammed I haven’t had time for much at all.

I don’t know about you but I always love a new month. With a new month especially November it gets more chilly and that means add the layers! Years ago I did a lot of posts on putting outfits together based on a color scheme. I always find when you really don’t know what to put on or “have nothing to wear”, referencing a color palette always brings fresh inspiration. For this look I went with “Pantone’s Classics” for Fall and Winter 2020/2021. I love these colors together and this is probably an outfit I may have not put together.

Also, when it comes to many of my photography clients I’m always discussing a color palette especially for things like family photos when there are more than just a couple people involved.

fast tip:

It helps if you have your closet organized by color that way when looking at the chosen palette you know exactly where to look for the color garment you need.

I hope this new month brings you style, delicious bites, even better drinks, and most importantly…happiness.

A Black Magic Friday

My, oh, my have we been busy!

It’s hard to believe that we are half way through October already. With a very, very busy weekend ahead, I wanted to bring you another very easy spooky cocktail.

Here’s a quick fun fact. I got these skulls a couple years ago and glued them to black candle sticks. They are one of my favorite decorations to get out for October.

what to do:

  1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.

  2. Add all ingredients and shake.

  3. You’ll have to keep messing with the food colors to get the exact color you want.

  4. Add to a glass full of ice and garnish with lime.

Have a fabulous weekend and I hope it’s full of lots of fall fun!
