So Much Good

This is one of my favorite looks in a long time because so many things came together perfectly.  First, my high boots, they are for sure my current favorite cold weather shoe. Did I buy them in tan too, you ask? Of course. Next is my leopard coat,  I've been searching and searching for the perfect one and last month I found it. The length is perfect for my height and the print is on point. Then of course the denim. Even though you can only see a little bit of them, they are amazing skinny jeans from DK's Style Hut. They are like a hug for your legs. Last, but certainly not least the gloves. A staple piece for any woman's wardrobe! Another Kate Spade-izim said when traveling to Rome one must pick up bright colored leather gloves. Well naturally that is exactly what I did. Since green is my color that is what I chose. This is an effortless feel good look that I recommend to any girl out on the town.

Leopard Is My Favorite Color

For as long as I can remember I have had a pair of leopard heels. My first pair that I got was from the almighty Target. I had them for years and years! They were my "old faithfuls" that I wore constantly. Well recently the day finally came when they broke. To say I was sad was an understatement. It immediately became my mission in life to find the new perfect pair of leopard heels, which I believe every woman needs in their closet. Well here they are! My new BCBG kicks! To say I am in love just isn't enough.

The Perfect Gathering

As you know my Mom's Birthday was Friday and I really enjoyed getting the family together to celebrate. Lets get right to the food! For canapes I went with Baked Brie bites. They are easy to eat and just a little bit different. Here is the easy, elegant recipe:

  • 2 boxes Mini Fillo Shells
  • 8 oz brie cheese
  • 1/2 cup cranberry sauce
  • 3 tbsp chopped pistachios

Preheat oven to 400, cut brie to fit in the middle of the shell, and pop in the oven for about 5 minutes to that the cheese gets warm and all melty. Then, take it out, add a little dab of cranberry and top with pistachios.

For one of the sides I went with ham wrapped asparagus topped with parm cheese. It's a simple side but not your typical green beans.

For the main course, I wanted something elegant so I decided on lamb. Stuffed with garlic cloves and Rosemary, roasted for four hours, it was absolutely divine. This was my first time making lamb and I'm so glad I went for it.

You can't have a party without cake...and champagne of course!

My fabulous family! It was a wonderful celebration for an absolutely fabulous person who means so much to all of us.
