Beautifying The Bride

What day is it? Where am I? It's official, MK and I have entered our busy season. Along with he and I doing photography for weddings, as you know I offer hair and makeup as well. This past weekend, we were at The Oak Lodge for Joelle and Darryl's wedding. It was a beautiful wedding and I'm always happy to lend a hand with hair and then make the quick switch to photographer.

Here's a little tip that I tell all of my Brides, if you are ever getting your hair done for a special occasion always wear a wrap, zip, or button up. That way, you hair and makeup stays in tact.

Feeling Fab in Fabletics

One of my favorite actresses is  Kate Hudson. It just so happens that she came out with an athletic line called "Fabletics". I love their variety and the colors that are offered. Also, there is a subtle uniqueness about the line that you may not see elsewhere.

Typically, I work out 4-5 times a week and it isn't always easy to get moving in the mornings. Years ago, I read that if you sleep in your workout clothes then it gives you more initiative to wake up and go to the gym because you are already dressed. I'll tell you, it's one less thing you have to think about.

Happy Friday All!

A Meal Without Wine Is Called Breakfast.

Anyone who knows me can tell you I'm a huge fan of wine. Specifically dry and red. In fact my bridesmaids (and Mom) threw me a beautiful wine themed bridal shower two years ago. It was perfect.

You don't have to be a wine snob to appreciate a glass every now and again but with so much information out there about foods to pair what wine with it can be daunting. So I thought I'd share my quick wine and cheese cheat sheet with you.

Reds

Cabernet- Gouda or Chedder

Merlot- Goat Cheese or Asiago

Pinot Noir- Colby or Parmesan

Whites

Chardonney- Chedder or Parmesan

Riesling- Swiss or Gouda

Pinot Gris (also known as Pinot Grigio) - Brie or Mozzarella

You can get as elaborate as you'd like of course, add figs or roasted grapes. But this little list is nice to have when you are getting last minute guests and only have but a few minutes to put together an appetizer.
