Travel Attire

My sweet Husband surprised me with a trip to New Orleans for my birthday! It was an absolute blast! This is part one of three posts from our trip.

Back in the days of Camelot and Marilyn, Woodstock and fabulous pillbox hats, traveling was a privilege. Men always wore a tie and ladies never had on "slacks".  Today, however is a very different story. In a time where most are only concerned with comfort, they throw on their baggy sweat pants, dingy tee and jump on the plane.

Now I don't expect any man in a tie, or all ladies in a skirt but I do believe most have gotten a little lax on their travel attire. Jeans and a nice blazer will make all the difference!

Here are my travel outfits.

A travel tip to you:

See those wheels on my suitcase? They swivel. This is my first set of luggage that does this. For your next luggage purchase, this is the way to go!

It will change your travel life!!

Onward Ensembles...

The wine bar is one of my favorite places in my house. I love to sit here with a glass of wine and a magazine. The back drop is the original blue prints to our house built in 1938. We treasure this piece as it has such a story behind it. The pretty purple flowers were picked by my sweet Dad for my Birthday.

On to Wednesday's outfit. I feel like everyone needs a classy white blouse that will go with everything. Along with these pants! I'm in love. They are comfortable yet dressy.

By far my favorite outfit so far! I love a femine, pastel look. I also haven't been able to take these pearls off! They just feel right with so many outfits. Sometimes you've got to smell the fresh air and twirl!

Birthday Week!

One of my favorite people in the world once said "Remember, it's your birth week not just your birthday." Ever since, that's just how I've celebrated. Kicking off the week my parents held my family birthday party which just happened to be on Memorial Day. Fun fact, my mom and I designed this dress and she made it for my high school graduation.

For years I've had a tradition of wearing white on Memorial Day and my birthday. Be as trendy as you'd  like but the greats like Chanel said wear white inbetween Memorial Day and Labor Day and I'm sticking to it.

So in honor of Birthday Week, I'm sharing my outfits.

I love the color combination of navy and white. What's with the face? A subpar manicure that's what. That's neither here nor there. But, I was excited to throw on my white jean jacket.
