Traveling Duo

There is much truth to 2015 not starting out so great for MK and I.

So it was off to Paris we went...

Mk and I both share such a passion for travel and absolutely love exploring and finding new places together. There were so many things I was able to cross off my bucket list here. From aimlessly roaming the streets of Paris, people watching in side street cafe's and eating the most amazing food. Last but certainly not least buying a pair of Louboutin's in the flagship store. Epic moment for this girl.

After saying we were "traveled out", for our anniversary we decided to head to Mexico for some much needed R&R. We did so much nothing and maybe a lot of drinking. It was amazing!!

So for real this time. We are a little traveled out and plan to focus on the house -er, um, my closet this year. We've got quite a reno ahead of us..

Also, thank you for all the sweet words yesterday on my "Blogiversary".

You guys are amazing. xoxo

Fast Fashionista Turns 2!

It's a little crazy to me to think that I have (officially) had Fast Fashionista for two years. Even though I'm always busy and it can sometimes feel a little overwhelming; I am so happy to call this my little labor of love. This past year has been...interesting to say the least.

I kept thinking "what do I do?, what do I do?!" for my "Blogaversary". I hate to fall in line with the stereotypical so this week I am reflecting on my favorite posts, outfits and foods of course. I looked back in the last year to see what my two most favorite posts were. Here they are:

First was "April Favorites", I have no idea why I stopped doing this because it was so much fun! I might just be bringing this one back...

Next was my favorite outfit I've ever posted. All the elements just came together perfectly for this look. This girl loves patterns...and apparently walking on the road while drinking wine.

Stay tuned, tomorrow I'll be talking about my two favorite getaways.

I want to thank everyone for your support and love. This has been fun, thanks for stopping by.

Note: None of me being able to do this blog would be possible without my editor, photographer, sounding board, toughest critic, life coach, biggest supporter, my rock, Husband, and best friend, Michael Kilgore. Thank you!

To Host Is To Live

Okay, yes, that's a tad dramatic but not by much for me. By now I'm sure that you know I love to host gatherings. A lot. But I also love to make things easy. For New Years MK and I had a party! Here are some delicious and quick go to recipes I used but would be perfect for anything you might be hosting this winter season.

First, the delicious winter Sangria. Completely ideal for Brunch or a random Sunday:

  • One bottle of red wine
  • 2 oz Brandy
  • 8 oz Sprite
  • Two tablespoons sugar
  • One orange muddled

If you are expecting more people double it

Next, appetizers are my favorite. To me, the best parties are ones where there are apps everywhere with lots of variety. This one is simple and elegant. Here is what you do:

  • Get some toothpicks, cut cherry tomatoes in half (so that they stand right), add fresh mozzerella and spinach. Then just sprinkle some balsamic dressing and you're done.

Have an absolutely splendid 2016!
