Friday Fresh

Happy Friday All!

Welcome to another “Martini Moment”!

We’ve made it through another week. Now, what’s better than a super fresh delicious cocktail after a long, very hot, week?

Before we get into the drink, I wanted to tell you how to how to make any kind of simple syrup:

1 cup water

1 cup sugar (I use Stevia)

Then add in whatever flavor you want! For this drink today it called for fresh Mint. I let the Mint simmer in the sugar water mixture for about 5-7 minutes, let it cool, and then strain the Mint.

I’ll never forget the first time I had Limoncello. We were wandering around Capri, Italy and it was absolutely everywhere. Obviously I indulged and surly wasn’t disappointed. I’ve been wanting to add it to a drink recipe for a while so that’s what’s happening today!

You know I love to make things fresh and let me tell you this drink is! Believe it or not, this is my first Martini Moment using Gin. Or at least I think it is. I’ve been at this awhile guys. Gin isn’t my favorite liquor however I’m always open to new things and I was really wanting to do a cocktail that would help beat the heat. Here is what I decided on…

what you do:

Just add limoncello, gin, lemon juice, and simple syrup to a glass filled with ice. Doesn’t have to be a Collins glass I didn’t use one. Rule breaker, I know. Stir with bar spoon and top with soda. Then garnish.

This cocktail is so perfect for these crazy hot days we’ve been having!

Have the best weekend and stay cool!

All You Need Is Love & Pizza

IMG_6597.jpeg

If I said my life was busy right now it would be a complete understatement. It seems like we have something going on every single day. MK has a shoot just about all the days, and well as many of you know mothering never stops. So when it comes to a quick delicious meal and when that delicious meal is low carb pizza, I’m all about it.

I’ve talked before about eating low carb and I honestly couldn’t tell you the last time I had anything made with flour or sugar. Not only is it really paying off I’m really enjoying the challenge of cooking with almond flour. I recently found this recipe for almond flour pizza (in the “Simply Keto” cookbook) crust and I’m totally obsessed!!!

“Quick And Easy Personal Pizza”

Adjustments.jpeg
  1. Preheat oven at 350 degrees

  2. For crust: In a microwave safe bowl, mix mozzarella almond flour, and seasoning. Stir well. Microwave for 25 seconds.

  3. Knead the dough for a few seconds and add in egg yoke while still warm. Knead until its a ball and then form a disk. Put it on a lined baking sheet and press into a disk about 5-6 inches.

  4. Poke holes in several places throughout the crust. Bake in the oven for about 10 minutes.

  5. Remove from the oven and flip it over. Top however you’d like, then bake for another 3-4 minutes.

Not only is this a perfect, healthy option for your pizza fix, it only has 479 calories and only 7.8 carbs!

Have an amazing Thursday and I hope you Have some delicious food waiting for you at the end of it!

Pretty, Polished & Put Together

I have a little helper with me for today’s post…

There are many times that I need to look put together very quickly. I often have clients stopping by or I’m running out to a meeting, or just have errands to take care of. So today I’m sharing my five simple tips on looking stylish and polished without breaking the bank or using all the time.

Adjustments.jpeg
  1. Don’t ever leave the house looking wrinkled. When I have a free few minutes here and there (they are very rare) I’ll do a little ironing so that I can grab a garnment quickly and not worry about looking frumpy.

  2. A monochromatic outfit will always look polished. Have a few go to’s that you can grab and run. You can rarely go wrong with an all black look. Absolutely a favorite of mine.

    3. Have a super quick make up go to. For me if I don’t have the time to put on a full face I make sure I do BB cream, a hint of blush, brows, and mascara, and maybe gloss if I have time. Trust me, this seriously takes three minutes. Usually, I always make time for my red lips though.

4. No time for hair? A tosseled top knot does the trick! The best part about a top knot is that there is no need for it to be perfect.

5. Simple accessories. My go to is a string of pearls, pearl studs, and most importantly…sunglasses! No matter what they’ll always finish a look.

Have a great week and as always thanks for stopping by!
