The Feel Good Bowl

Hello Friends!

If you follow me on Instagram or have seen any of my stories then you know we had quite the busy work week last week. About 70 hours worked and 40,000 photos taken. Throw in mothering and making the hour and a half drive to and from Pittsburgh to see Colette and you have one tired Mama. As you can imagine with all of that I wasn’t exactly eating very healthy. It feels good to be back in my routine of eating well. This is the perfect recipe if you meal prep or just throw it together. I’m sharing my favorite shrimp bowl.

This is so easy, filling, and pretty too! This is how I make mine but you can always tweet it to make it how you want it! I use lettuce, quinoa, cherry tomatoes, red onions, avocado, and shrimp. For the shrimp I used frozen (I always have it in the freezer), and I just thaw it, toss it in a little oil and garlic. Toss it all together and you’re good to go!

The Elegant Elephant

Hello FRiday!

I can recall a time when Winter was our “slow time” for our photography company. We would do so much relaxing. But over the years it has become a very, very, not slow time. With a family wedding this weekend and the start of one super big job, this week has MK and I saying “I need a drink!”.

“The Pinkish Elephant” is a super elegant cocktail that is perfect for having friends over. I made it into a pitcher recipe so it can be more easily shared. Or you know, if you really really need a drink. Haha!

What you do:

This one is so easy! Simply throw it all in a pitcher and stir!

I sincerely hope that your weekend is far less busy than mine and perhaps InvolVing some cocktails.

Pretty Plating

Perfectly Plated takes in its own name for this post.
First things first. BIG NEWS! Target has macaroons!! And they are freaking delicious!! Okay back to business. It’s been a hell of a week and we are only in the middle. I’m exhausted. We have a massive job coming up next week that we’ve been preparing for, for quite some time so one way I always de-stress is being creative. I absolutely love learning new plating techniques and I found this one and decided to recreate it.

What you do:

Simply get a chocolate bar, but use dark chocolate. I used milk chocolate and it got melty too quick. With a lighter run it up and down one side of the chocolate bar and press onto plate. The possibilities are endless with what design you could make!
It’s so simple and fun and a great way to kick up your next dinner party. The best thing about it is it can be done in advance.

I hope this Wednesday is kind to you and requires only a little caffeine.
