Time to ditch those winter clothes that we are all sick of and jump into the fabulous upcoming trends! I feel like the first day of Spring should be considered a holiday! I know you are going to be shocked but pastel pink is in for Spring 2014. Having said that I absolutely love how classic a pink or white suit looks.
This pretty pink suit felt like the perfect outfit for welcoming Spring, even though it was a cold day.

Faking It Can Be A Good Thing

What am I thinking about on this last day of Winter? My tan of course! There certainly are enough things in life to give us premature wrinkles, don't let tanning beds be one of them. I'm a big advocate of sunless tanning and over the years I've come up with quite a routine. Don't get me wrong, I use to love the tanning bed! Who wouldn't love twenty minutes to take a nice warm nap? But it's hard to relax knowing you could potentially be causing harm to yourself.

My favorite (and I've tested many) is hands down "Fake Bake Original". Put it on before bed, wake up, and shower. Keep reapplying until you reach your ideal tan. Find it here on Amazon:

Always remember before applying any kind of fake tan to exfoliate then put some lotion on any dry spots (knees, knuckles, elbows). After you have your tan moisturize twice a day.

So let's say you don't like the end result of your tan. Don't panic. All you have to do is put baking soda in your body wash. It will even out your PH and get rid of the tan.

Happy "Sunning"!

Freshening Up For Spring

Decorating doesn't have to mean spending a ton of cash. For a long time I've wanted to redecorate this space in my dressing room. My husband did a beautiful job the first time when he gave me my room for Valentines Day a couple years ago. However I wanted to make it a little more cozy. That was my goal here.

The bench was great, especially with an extra space to put my shoes. Yes, I'm still figuring a place for shoes. But as far as window treatments go it's easy to give them a little face lift.

Target recently had a sale going on I knew it was the perfect opportunity. This is my new spot for blogging, relaxing, and so much more...

You can replace your old plastic blinds with something more fresh and modern. It was $20.00 (for 4) white shears (Target), $24.99 for curtains (TJ Maxx), simple and pretty curtain rods from Target for $34.99 (for 2). Total project cost (not including chair and accent table) is just under $80.00. I feel that replacing blinds with this style of curtains can brighten and enlarge your room. What you do think?
