My Martini Moment

Strawberry Citrus Champagne Punch

Happy Mother’s Day Weekend to all the Mama’s out there!

I have the perfect recipe for Mother’s Day brunch or even for patio sipping…

I chose a champagne recipe for today because not only is it my fabulous Godmom/Aunt Mia’s birthday it is also our sweet Husky Perla Blue’s 6th birthday! It surly is a day to celebrate in our house, so bubbly it is!

what you do:

Make a simple syrup with the water and sugar (or buy your own for a quicker recipe). Add everything to a pitcher but only add champagne when you are ready to serve.

Thank you for tuning in during Cocktail Week on Fast Fashionista! I had a blast making all of these drinks to share with you.

Have a wonderful weekend!

A Classic Dark Rum Mojito

Welcome to Thirsty Thursday on Fast Fashionista!

Cocktail Week continues with a Classic Dark Rum Mojito. This is an easy one to make and great for when you’re craving something refreshing!

what you do:

Add sugar and and squeeze four lime wedges to your glass and muddle. Take your mint leaves in your hand and smack them a few times (this is an old bar tending trick I learned. That way you bring out the fragrance but don’t damage the leaves. You don’t want to be drinking tiny bits of mint.) I always rub the leaves over the rim of the glass, too. Add in your rum, fill with ice, and top with club soda. That’s it! You’re done!

I don’t know about you but i’m ready for Friday!

Enjoy your day!

Cinco de Mayo Margs!

Happy Cinco de Mayo!

I wouldn’t be me if I didn’t bring you a margarita recipe today!

As I’ve said in previous posts I love doing custom syrups for my drinks. Even better when fresh herbs are involved! For this drink I made Honey Thyme Syrup:

1/2 cup water

1/2 cup honey

handful of thyme

Simply throw everything in a saucepan and bring to a boil, let simmer for about 5 minutes, turn off heat and let it sit for about 30 minutes.

This is super easy and makes two Margs! Just add everything to an ice filled shaker, shake, and pour into two glasses with salted rims garnished with lime and thyme.

I hope your today is full of Margaritas, tacos, and good company! I’ll also continue to pretend today isn’t a holiday to celebrate a military victory over france. Off to make another marg!
