Edgy Interest

Bonjour Friends!

It surly has been a minute since I’ve posted here. If you follow me on social media then you know I’ve been a busy girl. Lots and lots of photo taking and a little vacay thrown in there.

Now that I have a minute to breathe, I thought I’d bring you another palette that I just love. My top and trousers are from The Drop by Amazon. If you don’t know about it I suggest you check it out. Amazon partners with major influencers to create their own collections and when they “drop” you only have a certain amount of time to shop and then the pieces are gone. My favorite is Blake Gifford ig handle @signedblake. She’s one of the most chic people I’ve ever seen. So when she does a drop I’m all over it. I still think about a blazer I didn’t get. *sigh*

Anywho, I love these colors together because black, white, and blue have an edge but add the pop of snakeskin pink and it really adds some interest.

The reason I love doing these posts is because if you start with a palette and not a piece you can get a really unique look. Think about this look with a white hat, pink top, black pants, blue shoes. Fun no matter how you slice it.

I know what you’re thinking is this how I head to Home Depot with two toddlers? The answer is obviously yes. Was I sweaty? Even more yes.

Happy Tuesday. Be careful. I don’t trust them.

An Elderflower Friday

Happy Friday!

Grab you limes and come with me!

Today is all about Elderflower liquor and limes. They are the perfect balance for one another. I made you three drinks that are sure to please!

I’m a huge fan of a good margarita and this cocktail recipe is one for the books! The Elderflower adds the perfect sweetness balanced by the lime juice and 1800 Blanco tequila. Which by the way, is my favorite tequila always.

what you do:

This one is super easy! Run a lime around your rim and dip it in salt. Then just add everything to a cocktail shaker and pour into a coupe glass for some added fancy. Garnish with lime and sip away! Typically you’d pour over ice but in this case I didn’t because I didn’t want it to get watered down.

Next up is an enhanced Mojito! This drink is perfect for warm Spring days.

what you do:

Grab a glass! Throw in about 10 ten mint leaves, the sugar (I used Stevia), and lime juice. Muddle those and top with ice. Then add your rum and St. Germain. Top with Elderflower tonic water (I like the brand Fever-Tree). To finish garnish with lime and mint leaves.

I saved the best for last! This was my favorite out of the three. Just the perfect combination of flavors.

what you do:

Slice three long ribbons of cucumber, throw two into your shaker, and line one around your glass and fill glass with ice. Add lime juice to shaker and muddle the cucumber. Add ice to shaker and throw in St. Germain and Gin (I like Hendricks). Shake, shake, shake! Strain into the glass and top with Elderflower tonic water. Garnish with lime.

An Elderflower liquor is great to have in your liquor collection. It might not be cheap but you’ll most likely have it for a good while. I’ve always used St. Germain. So next time you head to grab some booze, grab a bottle of this chic liquor!

Have the best weekend!

A Flavorful Flatbread

Happy Wednesday Friends!

I’ve been so slammed lately but I still made some time for a fresh Spring recipe that’s super easy to throw together quickly. Bursting with flavor this bite will not disappoint!

what you do:

When making a flatbread I always like to throw it in the oven for a few minutes to crisp up. So put your naked flatbread in the oven on 375 for like 5 minutes, let cool a little, and then spread a thin layer of fig jam, sprinkle parm cheese, and add a few pieces of prosciutto. Put it back in the oven for about 5 more minutes. Let it cool and add some chopped spinach and shaved parm.

Serve and enjoy!

Have an absolutely fabulous day!
