An Added Bonus

Being that I work in the jewelry business and Mothers Day is just around the corner, this has been a busy week so far. Lots to do! Today was the first nice day in a while so MK and I did a little unwinding on our patio.

It's pretty safe to say that I've been drawn to stripes lately. I'm loving the diversity of an outfit with black and white stripes and what you can do with it. Adding some pink to this look really brought it to life.

I am combining a lot of Kate Spade ideas today:

  • A well-placed bow-  "...bows can be so elegant and yet have a sense of humor too"
  • Black and white-  "Black and white is always right!"
  • A pop of color-  "Think Pink!!"

Finishing the look off with my favorite pink shoes and a glad of wine. Cheers!

Time To Hydrate!

Feeling like you need a little detoxing? Here is your very simple answer. Lemons are a "super fruit" because they have so many health benefits like cleansing your blood stream and detoxing your body. Drink a glass of lemon water before you go to bed and when you wake up for the boost your body needs.

Why the cucumbers? Because I love them! They add such a nice fresh taste to the water. I'm very bad at drinking water because I just plain forget to. This yummy water helps me to remember to hydrate. Also, picture some Sangria in this awesome pitcher!

Brush Up On Your Makeup

While doing a trial run today for one of my summer Brides, I got to thinking about a few key beauty tips that I wanted to share.  Here are four quick tips to add to your routine.

  • Before you start your make up hydrate your skin with moisturizer, and then use primer, especially with airbrush make up.
  • Any time you are using a cream product like highlighter or a cream blush, set it with a translucent powder.
  • Always use concealer after foundation.
  • A lot of people like the liquid eye liner look but don't feel comfortable using it. Try a gel liner with a thin angled brush to get the same look much easier.

Having been in the wedding industry for about 6 years, doing photography, hair and makeup, I knew it was only a matter of time before I started offering airbrush makeup! I love working with Brides and helping them feel their most beautiful on such an important day.
