There are many options when it comes to organizing your closet. This is what I've found works for me. I like to organize by color since my clothes are exposed. When you have your clothes from light to dark it's easier to see what you have since the eye naturally goes to dark. Also it helps to see how much of one color you may have too much of.
Closet Week!
For as long as I can remember I've had a day when Spring or Fall comes and I switch out my wardrobe. So it's that time again, time to say goodbye to the fur and hello to the florals! I'm declaring this week, Closet Week! Every day this week I'm going to post a closet tip that works for me.
First and foremost HANGERS! My Mom was the one who made me realize just how important it was to invest in good hangers. The ones that are velvet, "Huggable Hangers", they will hold any piece of clothing without making marks or falling off.
This season I've decided to color code mine. Pink and black are dresses, teal is lingerie, black is everything else... For now.
Find these hangers pretty much anywhere that sells closet accessories. I got mine at Target but have seen them at T.J. Maxx, Burlington, and Macys.
Travel Ready
One of the first things my Husband Mike and I bonded over was our love of traveling. The first place we went together was New York City and we have been on the go ever since.
I've always wanted to go to Europe so that's where we are headed at the end of the summer. I decided to spend the time before we go totally refreshing my travel things...
Our first trip December 2007 on top of the Rockefeller Center.
Last Christmas, Mike got me new snazzy luggage. I was a little sad to see my old zebra print go but it was time.
www.katespade.com for great make up bags and many other fabulous things.
Today, I received my Kate Spade order. The cosmetic case is going to be perfect for travel and the make up bag is great for everyday. I think I'm just about ready for the travels this upcoming year!
As I've said before Kate Spade rarely gets it wrong. Their attention to detail is superb!
